Discusses how to convert doses of opioids when transitioning between medications, non pharmacologic options for multimodal pain management, as well as introductions to ketamine and other alternative pain treatments. Also discusses treatment of opioid use disorder including suboxone and methadone.
Speaker bio: Since graduating from the UAMS inaugural PA class Courtney has been practicing in hospital medicine and palliative medicine. She is happy to be back in AR after a 3 yr stent in Louisiana where she developed and managed the hospital’s first Palliative Medicine program. She is currently working at Highlands Oncology of NWA in outpatient Palliative Medicine.
