Overview

If you missed the opportunity to attend the in-person CME event in Wichita you can now purchase access to the presentations through the On-Demand Library. (The registration cost for the 20 CME sessions is $300 for KAPA members and  $400 for non-members.)

Our CME's main focus is to address those issues from a primary care perspective.  We aim to address the growing educational needs of PAs by providing current information from specialists within their respective fields.

Once you have registered for the On-Demand conference you can access the presentations to download the PowerPoints or watch a video of the presentation. You will be able to access these files through our “On Demand”  portal until December 31, 2024.

The recorded presentation materials are available with audio files, including PDFs and PowerPoints. 

Remember to earn CME credit you must complete the session evaluation for all the lectures you viewed or intend to claim CME credit for.

CME participation certificates will be provided after you have completed the CME evaluation.

Seth Metzler, DMSc, PA-C, joined the SFHC team in 2016. The Newton, Kansas native achieved his Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from Kansas University and his PA degree from Wichita State University. He also completed his Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) at the University of Lynchburg. Seth has always had a strong desire to help his fellow Kansans achieve good health. He has a special interest in sports medicine and procedures. We are incredibly proud to have Seth representing SFHC on the Kansas Academy of Physician Assistants. His peers elected him to serve as Vice-President of the organization in 2019-2020, and again for 2020-2021. Seth's favorite part of being a PA is the relationships that he builds with his patients. Seth believes that it is important to consider patient preferences in healthcare treatment plans, making plans that specifically fit into the patient's desires for their healthcare. Away from work, Seth loves spending time with his children and family - with whom he is incredibly close. He also enjoys watching his favorite NFL team, the Las Vegas Raiders.

Subbu Boppana M.D., F.A.C.C., R.P.V.I.

Dr. Boppana, Subbu as he prefers to be called, is an interventional cardiologist and peripheral interventionalist who came to Heartland Cardiology in July 2017. He is Board-Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, and Vascular Interpretation. He specializes in percutaneous coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. In his free time, Subbu likes spending time with his wife and daughter. His wife Dr. Kolli is pursuing her radiology training at Wesley Medical center. Dr. Boppana enjoys hiking, long drives and working out when possible.

Pediatrics

Pediatrician Amy Seery, MD, is faculty for the Ascension Via Christi Family Medicine Residency Program and assistant professor of Family and Community Medicine with the University of Kansas School of Medicine- Wichita. She serves as the Pediatric Section Chair for Ascension Via Christi's Wichita hospitals. Dr. Seery regularly does physician rounds on patients at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis and Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph, where she works with medical residents caring for pediatric patients and newborns; she also works with medical residents and students in caring for patients at Ascension Via Christi's outpatient pediatric clinic. She is known for her passion for educating medical residents, healthcare professionals and parents on health and safety issues affecting children, bringing enthusiasm and creativity to community education and outreach. She serves as a board member for several community non-profits and as local TV news stations' go-to resource for timely comment on family health-related topics.

Alicia Quella Ph.D, PA-C

Alicia Quella is the Director of Communications and PA Relations at the NCCPA. She has served as a PA Program Chair and Director and has practiced in emergency medicine and primary care. She has served as an epidemiologist and has published research on the PA workforce, global health and issues affecting diversity in PA program admissions. Alicia earned her Masters of PA Studies degree and her doctoral degree in epidemiology from the University of Iowa.
