Occupational Therapist – Locum / Locum‑to‑Perm | Outpatient PACE Clinic | NC New

TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a locum or locum‑to‑perm opportunity in an outpatient PACE clinic serving a geriatric patient population. This role focuses on preventive, functional care within an interdisciplinary team model.

Position Details
Contract Type: Locum or Locum‑to‑Perm
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: Ongoing
Setting: Outpatient PACE clinic

Schedule & Coverage
Days per Week: Up to 5 days (flexible)
Hours per Day: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (some flexibility)
Minimum Commitment: 4 hours per day (flexible)

Patient Population & Practice Environment
Population: Geriatrics
Common Diagnoses: CVA, TIA, deconditioning, COPD, CHF, dementia, neurological conditions

Caseload / Productivity:
No set productivity expectations
Services are not billed
Therapist determines length of treatment
Preventive care focus; not skilled/billable treatments

Scope of Services
Clinical Duties:
Initial assessments and evaluations
Treatment plan development
Treatments, re‑evaluations, and discharge planning
Care plan development and case notes
Home visits as needed
Participation in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings
Team members include medical providers, RNs, MSWs, transportation, home care coordinators, CNAs, PTs, dietitians, and others
Collaboration with PTs, SLPs, physicians, and nursing staff

Non‑Clinical Duties:
Ongoing care coordination
Morning meetings and team huddles
Department meetings and case conferences

Supervision Requirements:
None

Licensure & Compliance
Licensure: Active North Carolina OT license
Certifications: NBCOT certification optional
CPR/BLS required (can be provided if needed)

Background & Compliance:
Drug screen required
Criminal background check required
OIG/GSA exclusion checks required

Health Requirements:
TB test required (or supporting documentation)
MMR, Hep B, Flu, COVID: Not required unless facility mandates
